Industrial Flange

Flange, also known as flange plate or flaunching, is used to connect pipes on the end of the pipes. Two pipes, fittings or equipment are mounted with a flange apiece. A flange pad will be put between these two flanges, which are fastened together with bolts. There are also pipes and equipment which come with flanges originally, thus leading to easy connection. Pipes connected with flanges can be disassembled again.

Generally, flange can be easily installed and it can work under high pressure. Hence, it is extensively used for connection in pipeline construction. It is widely applied in many areas such as power generation plant, petroleum industry, natural gas system, chemical industry, shipbuilding industry, heating system, paper-making industry, metallurgy industry, etc.

Flange is often divided into many kinds, which include integral flange, welding neck flange, hubbed slip-on-welding flange, slip-on-welding plate flange, threaded flange, socket welding flange, blind flange, loose flange, orifice flange and spectacle flange, etc.

    1. Slip-on Flange

      Compared with common slip-on-welding flange, hubbed slip-on flange has a short neck, which increases the strength and loading capacity of the flange. Therefore, it can be used on pipelines with higher pressure.

    1. Threaded Flange

      Threaded flange has its inner bore surface designed as tubular thread, which matches with threaded pipe to achieve connection. Therefore, no welding is required.

    1. Socket Welding Flange

      Our socket welding flange is designed for pipelines with small diameter and high working pressure. Generally, the diameter is not greater than 40mm and the working pressure shouldn’t exceed 10.0Mpa.

    1. Blind Flange

      The flange is widely used in many areas such as power generation plant, petroleum industry, natural gas system, chemical industry, shipbuilding industry, heating system, paper-making industry, metallurgy industry, etc.

    1. Loose Flange

      In terms of connection mode between flange and pipe, flanges falls into five basic categories which are slip-on welding flange, welding neck flange, threaded flange, socket welding flange and loose flange. Loose flange is a combination of two kinds of flanges.

    1. Orifice Flange

      Installed in a closed pipeline, orifice flange is used to test the flow rate of fluid, gas and steam just like a throttling gear. Standard orifice plate is a metal plate with a round hole. Round-hole wall is perpendicular to the front face of orifice plate.

    1. Spectacle Flange

      Spectacle flange is made up with two metal discs which are attached to each other by a small section of steel. Its shape is similar to a pair of glasses or "spectacles".

    1. Lap Joint Flange

      Lap joint flange is similar to hubbed slip-on welding flange, while the difference is that it has a stud end at the intersection between the inner bore and the flange facing, which is used to accommodate the flange pad.

    1. Square Flange

      Non-standard flange is designed used for sealing and fastening. It is extensively applied in aerospace industry, petroleum industry and chemical industry.
